This shows 1 year ago... it sure seems longer than that since we had to REPLACE the 5 YEAR OLD TRAIN AC UNIT that DANCO put in!!!

First off the technicians are super nice and professional, they truly are!
HOWEVER the office staff and/or management are horrible! Anyone above the person that answers the phone refuses to talk to anyone about any concerns or issues you have. That is until they see a true experience review online. Then and only then is when Danco will finally have someone call you just to tell you that since you left a true experience review they will now no longer do your warranty work on a Trane heat pump unit that you purchased from them.
We have had issues with this system since Danco installed it.
The thermostat has to constantly be recalibrated because it won't read the correct temperature, it happens so often that we have to keep thermometers all around the house so we know when to manually run/stop the unit. Tech was here over 3 hours with our old thermostat on Friday the 17th and said he has no idea what the heck its doing and hasn't seen it before. So we paid $140 for a new thermostat (under warranty)... same result, but worse.
Also after paying for several service calls with no error codes found, they then informed us that we had to pay them to update the system (still under warranty) because guess what, our system isn't current enough to show the error codes (it's less than 5 yrs old by the way). Why did I have to pay extra to update a new system you sold me so your techs can get the error code to fix it? Shouldn't updates to get codes be a part of the ongoing warranty??
We also had to pay hundreds of dollars to have "some" of the internals replaced in the outdoor unit because it actually caught on fire and burnt up. Notice I said "some" of the internals replaced, we had to argue just to get that done under warranty because no one wanted to accept responsibility. However we are being told by the multiple techs that have been here that they have never seen one catch fire, and are just perplexed by this one... great, but that doesn't really help our situation does it?!
Through all of these troubles and thousands of dollars spent, not a single person from management ever bothered to reach out or even return our multiple requests to speak to them about the negative experiences we are having. Would they even care if our house had caught fire... guessing not.
But as mentioned above, as soon as a Facebook post was made about all of this, they immediately call and say "since you posted a review we didn't like we are canceling your upcoming Friday the 21st service call (that was skipped Monday and Tuesday) and we are dropping you and your warranty work."
Thanks Danco, all we wanted was for our AC that we paid for to work.
Terrible management.
